Beautiful rest point while we heading up Hualian, the name of this place is 清水断崖 (Qingshui Cliff). Very senenic place to rest and take photos. There is a toilet but currently is under renovation, need to walk some steps down to reach it thus not very friendly for handicap user.

Beautiful viewpoint which is a good alternatieve to the Qinshui Cliff viewpoint. Many places, like Taroko, are still closed as they are being repaired. This place is definitely visitworthy when going to Taroko ot Hualien.

This is a must stop. Parking is really limited. Comes up fast out of the tunnel. there's no restrooms. You do not need tickets here

Want both ocean and mountain? Go for it if you like hardcore. The good season to visit here is summer. With a bright day with sunlight, you can see the spectacular view with mountains top on the cloud besides the crystal clear ocean. You can't see this view if you visit on the wrong time, so beware of weather issue.

Make sure you have a driver or that you come by Taxi, especially if you are visiting during the weekend/holidays. Limited parking space. Buses are not allowed at the Southern view points, only allowed at the second viewpoint North of here. Takes 8 minutes to walk down the stairs to the bottom-most platform to view the caves off the cliffs. Beautiful nature, totally pristine and untouched. Bring a telephoto lens if you are a photographer. You’ll be a couple hundred yards from the actual cliffs. If you are a daredevil, yes, you can go down to the beach but it is closed off to the general public. The stairs down to the beach have been worn down and it’s basically a jump off steep rocks to reach the beach. Tons of tourists, but worth the beautiful view.
